Bled wedding photographer
We met Donna and John almost two years ago in Bled. We remember that the lake was frozen and people were ice skating on it. Our first meeting over coffee and cake was so relaxed and we felt like friends instantly. They come from Manchester and Donna is an amazing blogger and John a passionate football and street art fan.
Fast forward a year more or less, we met again in Ljubljana for our engagement photoshoot. You see, Donna and John decided to plan their Lake Bled Wedding all by themselves and visited Slovenia a couple of times before the wedding.
Their wedding day was back in August on one of the hottest days of the summer. The Bled lake was teasing us with it’s amazing bright blue colours and we’d jump if we didn’t have our cameras on us. Our day started at Vila Bled with casual getting ready time. Donna had three little bridesmaids that melted our hearts! They made the day even more fun.
The ceremony took place at Vila Bled in the forest, overlooking the lake and whole of Bled. We must say, this is one of our favourite locations in Bled. Intimate and quiet, hidden away from tourists and the strong sun. After the vows we took the pletna boats to the island for the church blessing.
After the official part was over we went back to Villa Bled for an amazing dinner followed by cocktails at Belvedere. Loved that Donna and John chose the Bled cream cake (kremšnita) instead of a regular wedding cake.
